Quick power check, new build - old psu

Building new machine going:
ASUS PSN-D LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX OR similar features, haven't set this in stone yet (any suggestions on that would be nice as well)
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core ProcessorIntel
2x1gb dominator ddr2 1066
8600GTS 512mb
Probably only 2 hdd totaling 750-1tb, 1 dvd burner, half dozen fans....

Just curious if i cannibalized the PSU from my old system would the power be sufficient for now, as well as all the appropriate connections......I'm going from long time AMD back to Intel ( last intel was a p2 233 w/mmx!) That in combination with my absense of hardware research for past few years has me worried.

I understand later doing SLI or beefier card, going quad or extreme i will need much more.

Should be just fine, it seems to have all the connections you need. As for the motherboard, what do you mean with similar features ? yea after thinking about it, I'm almost positive i'll never SLI. I dont' see it ever being cost effective (and performance gains) to add a card than to sell the old one and buy a newer one.

Think i could save a few $ on a single gpu board? Contemplated waiting for x48 boards to get released but I'll wait for those to get some consumer time before picking one of those up.
