Just wondering if anyone has had OS problems (not loading properly, etc) after migrating from a BX based board to a duron/tbird and Abit KT7 setup while keeping the other hardware the same? I have a friend that had to reload both Win98 and Win2k (dual boot system). Neither would function properly. Just figuring out if I need to backup everything or take the chance. Thanks!

Motherboard swaps are a daily occurence on my test bench both in 98SE and Me. I've never had to do a format c:\ until after a couple dozen board swaps involving multiple chipsets. Win2K is a different story. It usually won't even boot for me after surgery as radical as a completely different chipset.

That's what I had heard. Well, I guess it's time to reinstall or at least get ready to reinstall win2k. I do admit that I let win2k install itself onto one of my drives and make it NTFS which is completely useless for me to do. I guess it's time to back up and reinstall as FAT32. Thanks!
