Quick PC Speakers question

Logitech X-540 - 5.1 speaker system

OR

Philips MMS460 - 5.1 MultiMedia Speaker System

Or should I go with a 2.1 system? I watch DVDs, play games, and also watch tv on this computer. Basically I want to keep it under $100 and at MicroCenter since I have a gift card.

Personally, I'd go for the Logitechs, only because i've never had experience with Philips speakers. lol

With DVDs and games as primary source material, 5.1 would be a good idea vs. 2.1

I second that. I've barely ever heard of Philips speakers. Logitech, on the other hand, makes some great PC speakers. I bet a quick comparison of reviews will tell the tale.
