A female friend of mine ordered something from Macy's an hour or so ago, and swears she doesn't have a paypal account, or hit anything on the site related to paypal.
But yet she just got an email saying..
Congratulations! PayPal has successfully charged $175 to your credit card. Your order tracking number is -------, and your item will be shipped within three business days.

DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE VIA EMAIL! This email is being sent by an automated message system and the reply will not be received.
Thank you for using PayPal.
And $175 isn't the amount she charged. Time to call up paypal and figure out if they have any of her cards listed?
