Quick Partition Question

I currently have GRUB bootloader handling my dual boot system.

If I just go ahead and delete my Red Hat partition (which contains the bootloader), will my system default back to single boot?

Thanks in advance

boot to the recovery console from an XP CD and do "fixboot" or "fixmbr" or something like that. Alternatively, boot to a Win98 floppy disk and do "fdisk /mbr" and that will wipe out your mbr and return it to just how Windows likes it.

"Are you sure you want to write a new boot sector to..."

I'm not gonna lose any data, right?

no, the mbr is a special section at the beginning of the harddrive that only contains boot information.
