Quick Opera question..

So I just started using Opera (former Firefox user), and I have a simple question. Is there a way to disable the auto centering of the crosshair when you press in the middle mouse button? I am finding that to be quite annoying.
 
In any other program the crosshair (or up/down arrows) will appear wherever you click the middle mouse button. In Opera it automatically moves to the center of the screen.
 
Well you can check the official forums and see if anyone knows. I don't use the middle click in Opera so I really don't know.
 
Here's another quick Opera question: I've been using it for a few days now and have yet to be wow'd. What am I supposed to be impressed by?
