Showtime will, at long last, air a new episode tonight!!! It starts in 14 minutes in my time zone (Central.) Get those VCRs and TiVo units rollin' quick, folks, the final chevron is about to lock in place...

Following SG-1 tonight (and each Friday) is the new post-apocalyptic series "Jeremiah," written by J. Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5's creator) and directed by Russell Mulcahy (who directed the original "Highlander" movie.)

I don't have Showtime, can only catch it syndication, but has this show gone as down-hill as is being reported? I read of one event that I can't see the show recovering from. It's a spoiler (huge one) for those that haven't seen it yet, so I won't post it, but you can read about it here:

I really like this show and hate to see it tanked by clueless executives.

gonad, i know what you're talking about.. and although it'll be a huge event, i think things will be ok... i really hope so too, cause i want this show to do well.. i love this show, and i've watched every episode in syndication, and own the first season dvd's..

also, just to let you guys/gals know, after this season, sg-1 will no longer show on showtime.. instead, it'll show on the scifi channel!! woo hoo! so this works out so much better for us pay-channel-challenged people

"Stargate: SG-1" is about to start its sixth (and last) season on Showtime. Few TV science fiction shows have maintained such high quality for so long, IMHO. I'm not looking for spoilers, so I won't check that link, but I do know (from British friends who have already seen episodes that have not yet aired here in the US) that a major cast member wanted out, and the show will go on without him. I don't think "clueless executives" are the problem here; it looks to me like the all-too-common situation where an actor has a modest success and begins to think of himself as a "star." I call this "MacLean Stevenson Syndrome."

As long as they have the delectable Christopher Judge in various states of undress, I'm happy. ;)
