Quick Noob question

If I am upgrading my SATA Harddrive to a 3.0gb/sec SATA2 drive... do I need a new cable or is it the same?

Same.

Even if there was a difference in SATA & SATA2 cables, it wouldn't matter, since current SATA drives don't even get close to maxing out their interface, nevermind SATA2.
