hey everyone, i cant remember exactly how this has to be setup. But we are going to have DSL running into a 4 port router, and that needs to be uplinked to a 12 port 3com superstack hub.

i cant remember what the tcp/ip settings had to be to setup it up, so that we could all have access to the net

thanks
danny

Why the hell would you do that? LAN party? If not, then it would be too slow for internet gaming if you have all those computers hooked up at once.

1. Set up DSL (WAN) stuff on router as normal.
2. You probably want to set up the DHCP(internal) stuff on the router. Generally the default stuff there is ok.
3. Connect the uplink port on the hub to one of the ports on the router.
4. Connect your computer to the hub as normal...windows is usually setup to use dhcp unless you changed something.

Uplink on the hub to a port on the router. DSL into the router. Configure the Router as it should be (with DSL, probably PPPoE?)
