Quick Mozilla 1.3 question - images

I'm using Mozilla 1.3 on my Mac, OS 10.1.15

Everytime I click on a link that goes to a picture, eg. : "http://www.Pictures.net/nonexistant.jpeg"
I get either a pop-up window asking me to save it or which program to open it with, or it opens as a document with a lot of text jibberish.

How can I get mozilla to display jpegs in the browser window?

Make sure that Mozilla is set as the application to use to handle images of MIME type "image/jpeg". This can be set under Edit->Preferences->Navigator->Helper Applications.
