I want to put some more ram in a system. The mobo is an MSI KT3-Ultra(KT333). Now PC2700 is roughly $75 for 512MB and PC3200 is roughly $85 for 512MB, my question is would it be better to buy the PC3200? The board only supports up to a 333FSB(PC2700) but I figure that I could just run the PC3200 under power and could use it in another system down the road. Will that work? Does this make sense to any of you? ;)

Sure does make sense and is the way I would do it. Higher speed RAM can always be used at lower speeds. As long as the RAM type matches (DDR PC333 will not fit on a SD-RAM PC100 board - obviously ;) ). You can even mix them, the slowest one sets the maximum speed for the rest though (this means RAS-CAS timings and maximum bus-speeds)
