I hear everyone running their ddr2 at 1.8, 1.9, 2.0v, etc, and I just had a question.

If my crucial ballistix 2gb (2x1gb) pc2-8500 is "rated" at 2.2v both on newegg and crucials webpage, should I run it at 2.2v? I've heard people saying that 2.2v will fry some modules? Does it all depend on the brand and the speed?

If I am not running my ram at the rated speed of 1066mhz, but instead at 666mhz, can I lower the voltage from "stock"

Just need a refresh in this area... thanks

Yes, according to Crucial support 2.1 is desirable. If it becomes at all unstable go to 2.2.

You only need to run the voltage high if the system becomes unstable. At 666mhz, you should be just fine at 1.8v.
