quick MB question

I'm building a new comp
my 3rd ever and 1st in like 3 years

I was looking at the asus deluxe mobo,

ASUS nForce2 Ultra 400 Chipset Motherboard for AMD Socket A CPU, Model "A7N8X-E Deluxe" -RETAIL

would it be alright if i got refurbished

even more importantly
does it support ide raid in addition to sata, or is it just sata
i bought two hdd @ bestbuy on a recent deal thing goin on with the intention of raiding them

what do you think?

I just bought this board a month ago, and I LOVE IT.

Are you looking at the refurb board on Newegg for $75? The site doesn't say wether or not it comes with all the included cables, manuals, cds, etc, and you never know what that board has been through. I say: buy a new one for $112. It's still a hell of a deal for what you are getting. My favorite part is the onboard Soundstorm audio. Absolutely NO static or background hiss, and it can up-convert anything to dolby digital.

Oh, and it's sata raid only.

nugaluga, VictorLazlo confirmed for you that the A7N8X-E Deluxe does not provide for IDE RAID; SATA RAID only. I'm far from an nVidia chipset expert but IDE RAID AFAIK is not a common feature on these boards.
