I have the following problem:
if lim f(x) = c then f(x) has
A. a horizontal asymptote y = c
B. a horizontal asymptote y = -c
C. a vertical asymptote x = c
D. a vertical asymptote x = -c
E. at least one point for which f(x) = c

What does "lim" mean? (beneath lim is the symbol for "x arrow infinity")
Please respond ASAP

It means if you increase X toward infinity, f(x) is approaching to the value of c but never reaches it. so think of a curve that is tapering off toward c. And your answer would be A.
