just a quick Trig quesiton:
find the exact value when cotangent = -2 using sin @/2 (the half angle formula).
I set it up and got all the way to this: sin @/2 = 1 + 2 square root of 5/5 all over 2. I multiply the reciprical of the denominator...and I get 1 + 2 square root 5/10. I"m done.....
but the solutions manual says the answer is 5 + 2 square root of 5/10...
maybe it's one of those dumb mistakes, but where did the first 5 come from???
