QUICK. Math problem

Forgot about this baddy. I got to leave for school in like 10 min and I need to do this extra credit problem:

"What base would Mickey best count in?" And there is a picture of Mickey Mouse holding out 4 fingers. So 4 means something I guess.

But I have no clue what base is. Help quick please!

Our number system is base 10. That means that if you want to know the value of

219

it's

(2 x 10^2) + (1 x 10^1) + (9 x 10^0)
= 200 + 10 + 9
= 219

That's why it's base 10.

We often associate our liking with base 10 for having ten fingers and ten toes. So, because Mickey has 4 fingers on one hand, he must have a total of eight. Therefore Mickey would like base 8 more than anything.

BTW, the binary system is base 2 and the hexadecimal system is base 16... FYI... Those are the only two of any real use beyond base 10

It's a trick question. He has 4 fingers, but he counts in base 10 like the rest of us.
