Quick Mass Effect Question

Is there any way to save or quick-save at will?

Like just after you done a bunch of stuff but there is no autosave yet.

Need to know this fast so I can continue playing...
I did a bunch of stuff several times and wished I could save...ended up having to over several parts...🙁

Yup F6, but you have to be out of combat for it to work. If you're in the Mako and can't save, try getting out and saving.

Honestly. I don't always read the whole manual, but don't people at least hit up the customize controls menu? I don't think I ever actually use 100% default keys.

I found that a lot of times during the longer "combat scenes" all you need to do is run backwards (far enough away from the next set of baddies) and you'll leave combat to quick save. Basically you can kill a few, then run backwards for a couple seconds until one of your squad gives the "all clear" message, and save. Rinse and repeat for easy saving.

I'm pretty sure there was even an in-game tip that told me F6 was quick save.

I think it (among other things) is busted if you're playing a pirate copy. So who knows?

I tried to use F5 (as usual) and I must have overlooked it in the settings.
