quick linux question: how to get a listing of hosts on the local network?

OK, I tried a ping scan... the windows firewall must be blocking them.
Is there someway to see what machines are on the windows workgroup/domain from my linux box?

There might be something in samba, or you could open up an email client and ask the domain admins. 😉
