Quick Linksys Router Question

A friend has the BEFSR41 Linksys router. He is moving into my apt complex and wants to get in on our network (on which we already have a router for the internet). How can we get his router to just act as a switch? Or is this impossible?

I just tried that... Problem is, those peoples computers don't know where to look for the internet. Not to mention that both routers compete for the 192.168.1.1 address. (both are BEFSR41). Any ideas?

Turn off the dhcp server in the router that you want to act only as a switch. Then the first should correctly assign lan ip addresses to each pc.

I'm pretty sure it's under the advanced settings. It's a switch between router and gateway modes. It will still work as a router creating a logical segment, but the NAT gateway part will be disabled.
