i have an asus m6n and it wont power on anymore. should it power on if i have it plugged into the wall and the battey is just dead? or would a dead battery/non existant battery not allow it to power on also?
 
It should run fine with the AC adpater alone.
Maybe the AC adapter is faulty if it doesn't? I have an M6N and i just tested it out without the battery and it turns on fine with AC adapter and no Battery.
 
Probably the ac adapter but it could be the comp itself it might not be able to get power to it. I would try buying an ac adapter off ebay or from asus and see how it does...
 
Get or borrow a multimeter or have someone test your ac adapter before buying a new one. I can't explain it but it is easy to do.
