I am thinking about purchasing a laptop this summer to have for college next year. The reason that I want it is so I can bring it home and work on my CS homework (not counter strike :)) on the weekends since I go home all the time. This is probably all it will be used for (and word processing). I don't want to spend a lot of money on this thing at all, all it needs is a fast enough processor to compile/run the code, and probably a 2-3 gig HD. What do you think I will need? Cost?
Thanks

CodeWarrior 5.5 seems to work fine on my 266 MHz PII laptop. What OS do you plan to run? For development work use Linux or Windows2000

For the CS class that i will be taking next semester, the work will be done under windows i am pretty sure, but I will probably be using 98, since it requires a little less ram to run well.
So about a 266 should suffice?
