Quick laptop hard drive question

I have this old PII MMX 266 MHz laptop that I got for free. Right now the dead hard drive in it seems to be the only problem. It's only a 5 GB drive, and I assume 4200 RPM at the most. Am I going to have any issues if I get a 20 GB 5400 RPM HDD? Am I likely to experience problems with the new drive being much too hot? If it matters I am looking at the Seagate ST92011A. Thanks!

I had an old Portege 3020ct laptop (300mhz) with a 6 gig drive. I had no problems putting in a 20 gig Travelstar in it. Not even sure if I did any BIOS updates...

I need to check out what chipset it is, but if it's a mobile i440LX then I should be fine in regards to the size. That can take up to 32 GB just fine.

I guess I'll go order the drive...it better work.

Hmm, I'm a bit confused now. I have been looking through Winbook's support for the XLi. On the main page it says that the laptop has a i440BX based motherboard. Yet on the HDD-specific support page it says drives over 8 GB will probably not work. How does this make any sense? Even my i440LX mobo supports up to 32 GB drives.
