Im getting a Belkin OmniView? SOHO Series 4-Port KVM Switch with Audio PS/2 and USB Platform and have a old computer that id like to use with it. Thing is it's an older computer. The keyboard uses the older style AT connector (er, the bigger round connection) and the mouse requires a serial connector. Should it work okay with the KVM if i get the appropriate adapters? Or will i run into problems?

Ill be using a Microsoft Internet Keyboard and a MS Intellimouse Optical (with PS/2 adapter of course). thanks! :)

Speaking of the Belkin SOHO KVM, does anyone know how to get rid of the "beep" when switching computers? I found on the 'net that:

[ScrLk] [ScrLk] "s"

is supposed to toggle the beeps, but I have had no success. Does anyone know the solution?

hmm.. i kinda like the beep.. Scroll-lock/Scroll-Lock-(1, 2, 3..etc) switches between boxes, I'll try the 'S' on mine when i get home to see if it turns it off

It should work ok for the Kb adapter, but I don't know if you can find an adapter going from ps/2 to serial can you? If you wanted, you could always get a USB pci card for the old computer. It's just a thought.
