ok i juststarted using knoppix on cd...need to tzpe the equal sign to get into english language...iäm in agerman os right now...took me a couple minutes to even figure out how to get here...the lazout is all screwy...y is z kezs reversed...umlauts all over the place when i tzpe lol

how do i get the equal symbol on a german kezboard lazout

argh cant even tzpe a question mark

Isn't there a little flag icon in the lower right hand corner of the desktop in kde in knoppix? Just use that to change languages. Or I believe you use knoppix lang=us when you start it up.

i know...but when i tzpe equal sign i get '

EDIT: found the flag...it changed my keyboard layout back to english...but the os is still in german

ok now i need to know what key on the german keyboard layout corresponds with = and i'm good to go!

i'm booting from cd so i dont think its gonna keep the option
