Quick ITunes question

Linflas

Lifer
I don't have an IPod and have used ITunes only 2 times personally to redeem music from Coke. I am dumping stuff off of a users ITunes before sending the laptop off for repair. Can I assume that all the stuff they paid for is listed under Purchased? If I dump those down to CD I have all their ITunes music they bought?

Probably you can assume that. The purchased music playlist does not allow you to delete songs from it, most of the time. I'm sure somebody somewhere has figured out how to move songs off it somehow, though, and if it were me, I'd double check with the user before deleting them.

If you can't, you might do a quick search for any songs with the .m4p extension, which are songs that are encoded. If any show up that aren't in the Purchased list, then you know that it's not complete, right?
