quick: is margargine good at room temp for months/years

there's some margarine on top of the microwave that's been there since I moved in.

is it safe to use?

It's stored in refrigeration in supermarkets....
You must keep it refrigerated when you buy it....

My guess would be no :p

It's perfectly fine. Go find some cheese slices that have falled behind the fridge and make a nice cheese omlette.... you putz!

if its sealed it can remain out just fine. probably not for years though. it can go rancid.

if it gets a little above room temperature it tends to melt, though. and when it resolidifies it isn't so nice.
