Quick i5-3470 question

And I feel like a retard for asking this, but it's my first Intel build
Should my i5-3470 be idle around 1596mhz?
I know it's 3.2ghz, with 3.6 turbo..
Like I said, first intel build so I'm uber noobish :$

Aye, I've seen it throttle up with Prime95. Just wasn't sure if 1590-ish mhz was the normal range for it to idle at, thanks!

Its pretty normal. The minimum multiplier is 16x (with EIST enabled) and if the baseclock is 99.8MHz you get 1596.8MHz. If you disable spread spectrum it should hit very close to 1600MHz idle...
