I'm running for a seat on the Board of Directors of a local internship committee. I just heard about the position today and the election is going to held today electronically by e-mail. There was no real campaigning so it will just be people voting for candidates they?ve never heard of. They are asking me for a 1-3 sentence description to describe why I'd want to be on the seat. The voters are college students ages 17-22. Someone give me something that would make people want to vote for me.

They would like me to include following:
School: UC Berkeley

Thanks

What i've come up with is:

As a second year UC Berkeley student and a first year INCSA intern I can sincerely say that I appreciate the opportunity that the INCSA organization has provided for me and my fellow interns. If elected as a representative of the INCSA I hope to help promote the interaction of students for purposes of mutual support and networking by listening and implementing ideas that will assist in making the existing program stronger, more enjoyable, and more engaging. With this in mind I hope you select me as for your 2003-04 INCSA representative. Thanks and have a great 4th of July weekend.

I want to be on the seat so I can snag actual jobs for myself before passing them on to the goobers at school: UC Berkeley.

Thing is it's not just a Berkeley thing. The Board is for Northern California.

Actually, I probably should add that the organization has already placed me in an internship. A good one too.
