Quick! I need an easy biology-related experiment.

I'm in IB Biology at my school, and my summer assignment is to plan out and conduct an experiment. I need a focused research question from you guys.

I can't think of anything! I will be appreciative of any ideas you have. But, they must be biology related.

granted you have access to tsa agars you can do two simple experiments...

check for microbes in different areas of you house (bathroom, laundry room, keyboard, etc)... basically swab an area, store swab in saline or sterile water, spread on agar and check for growth, and then look @ growth samples under the microscope to identify microbes...

i think this is a cooler but simplier experiment... basically compare hand soaps... see if antimicrobial hand soaps are better than hand soaps or just plain water (hot and cold)

same principal... swab your hand dry, after its rinsed, and then with different soaps and see what microbial growth is present on agars...

Better than EngenZerO's idea:

Do the same thing in your car. Different places: Steering wheel, front seats, back seats, etc. It's actually pretty scary (did it in high school).

Does getting not enough sleep make you colder in the morning.
This is easily testable.
