I'm doing some general cleanup and repair for a friends computer running WinME. They want their dial-up connection to remember password and connect automatically when they launch Internet Explorer.
They say it used to be that way but now when they launch IE or any other app that connects to the Internet the dialup connection box comes up with their username inserted but the password box blank.
They have to enter the password manually everytime they connect and the check box to "Remember Password" and "Connect Automatically" are greyed out.
Anyone know why they are greyed out? I've tried changing several different network settings and they remain greyed out no matter what.
