Hi, I have an older MicroTek Scanner. It came with an older adaptec ISA SCSI controller card to hookup the scanner. I've since gotten a new motherboard without ISA. I placed a bid on ebay here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2733348151&category=39969&rd=1

However, I was looking through my old manual, and in the installation instructions it mentiones connecting the 25-pin external scsi cable to the scsi connector. However, in this auction it says it's a 50 pin external connector. Will this make a difference or should it still work??

Thanks for any help, there's only an hour and a half or so left, so any quick help would be appreciated!

You will need a HD-50 to Centronic-50 cable which will be about $5-10 from most computer store. If not one available locatlly, try PC Pit Stop. It is $8.50 plus shipping for a 6 feet one.
