Quick help! Need smartdrive before installing Win2k, anyone who can help me out? (fixed!)

Boot off the W2K CD - it'll load it. If you have to run setup from DOS for some reason, Smartdrive is on the CD, just look for it and run it. Don't need any switches or anything.

Just boot your machine to the W2K CD instead of to a boot floppy!

(Or, be realllllllllly patient as you copy files without smartdrv.)

(Or, copy the \i386 folder of the CD to the hard drive and install from that folder. Still slow, but not nearly AS slow, as running without smardrv.)

Couldn't boot in dos with my Win2k CD...

Tried to copy the i386 folder to my harddrive, slow as *beep!!!!*
Tried to run it from the CD-ROM, even slower..!

Now I wanna make it fast! 🙂
What's the filename for smartdrive on the Win2k CD, cuz I can't find it there...

Found it in my other win98 computer 🙂

(it is in c:\windows\smartdrv.exe)

And it working like a charm!
Thanx any way for the help!!!! 🙂
