You know, I do know some girls that are kinda chubby but still pretty good-lookin'.. I'd expect 5'6" and 140 to be just kind of chubby, but not very.

She may be relatively muscular and look really great.

Its good to know that you are so concerned with what her body looks like as opposed to whether or not she is a great person all around.

If she is muscular, maybe she will knock some sense into you. ;)

My gf's 130lb @ 5'4" and she looks damn fione. I don't think you should worry about 140lbs @ 2" higher.

I've known girls who were probably around that height and weight on the volley team in high school. They're ok, not fat at all, chubby but usually physically fit. Pretty much all the girls on the volleyball team ranged from very cute to decent.

Sluggo summed up what I was going to say. If you care that much about looks/body type then you're a d1ck
Well I'm sorry but it's kinda the first thing you see. If you're not totally unfortunate looking and have been on enough blind dates (half against your will, just to please friends) you'd relate. Personality does matter and I'm not even going to try to defend myself but there's a point where you can't get past the looks.

I'm 6' 1" 135 Lbs and female, and play volleyball too. I also have a sibling who's 140 Lbs but way taller than 5' 6". Hence, I can fairly speak for that weight. Unless this lady you're asking about is muscular, she's fleshy for that weight. She isn't fat, but she isn't skinny either. She's in between slender and plump.

That's me at my fighting weight. (The old bikini shot of me is close to that weight, and I am 5'6... and if you've never seen it, sorry, I am going to bed now)

If she's athletic, that's probably a size 6-8, and she probably has a nice chest, too. Muscle weighs more than fat, and I'm guessing she's on the lean side.

Just keep this in mind... chances are good she can leave you in the dirt. How fit are
you?

It depends on alot of things.

I'm about half an inch taller than my dad, and we are about 8 pounds apart in weight, and his waist is probably 10 inches bigger than mine.

I've got big shoulders and just an overall big heavy frame and I carry a lot of weight and carry it well.
I'm a bit chubby..but not that much.

My dad on the other hand, as much as I love him, has a smallish frame and is just plain fat.

And remember a pound of muscle is less volume than a pound of fat.

5'6" 140 could be a medium-large frame with a fair bit of muscle or a little fat or it could be small-medium frame with lots of muscle or lots of fat.

There are lots of different body types.

Height and Weight alone are not sufficient measures to determine how a person looks.

However...at 140, 5'6" she is not going to be skinny.
She might be lean and muscular or she might be kinda chubby.
She shouldn't be outright fat though.

My wife was a fine looking babe when we met. Over the years we have both gained a little weight, developed some wrinkles and had our hair turn white.

She is still just as beautiful to me as she was on the day we met.

What you find acceptable is your choice. Being physically fit and trim is not nearly as important as personality, integrity and wisdom.

To each his own.

Um

You are leaving out bone structure. The pictures of "you" show someone with a very small bone frame. There are people with larger bone structures.

Bone weighs something, too! :p

(Measure your wrist bone and ankle bone to find out your general frame size. I have a medium to large frame and am a mesomorph.)

Hmm that's what I figured. I'm 5'9" 165lbs but I'm all muscle though (VERY low body fat). This will be interesting ... if anyone has pics I'd like to see. And how "muscular" would muscular be to be pretty "slick" at that weight? BTW she told me she looks a bit like Neve Campbell but I dunno ...

I work out/run every day. More fit than 90% of the people at my college.

If you get along with her, what does it matter what she looks like?

Are you going to not go out with her if she's a little chubby?

You're right. And yes, I'm in small framed. However, it would still put her in between slender and plump.

Trust me hon', from my experience as a volleyball player, not every chick you see is anything like the beach volleyball player you see on calendars or on TV. I see chicks who're close to being defined as plump. You can call them thick boned, but they sure aren't slender. Yes, there are physically fit players, after all that's what qualifies them to play. But physically fit doesn't necessarily tell of one's physical appearance (i.e., whether skinny, plump, fat, etc.)

It's past that. I'm destined for doom or glory. I told my friend I'd go. It's just that I'd like to get an idea of what I'm getting myself into.

here's somethin:
5'6" umm prolly 140 and only that bc i work out alot now umm naturally blonde hair
does that mean she was more?
