Ok my current computer has 2 harddrives, 1 main HD, and 1 for just storage. In about 10 minutes I am going to upgrade my system to an A64 machine. Do I need to backup the data on my storage drive or will I be able to access the info on the new comp?

There is a chance that you wont' get it back due to ide drivers and such

But yea, back up important stuff just to be safe
 
Assuming you're just running some Windows variant, and there's nothing encrypted on there, all will be fine.
