i don't want to use OE or standart outlook

There are 3 modes of operation:

Full
Sponsored - Ads, not very annoying
Light - no ads, less utilities still the best for virus-safe operation.

Maybe it happened in the last 6 months then. The version I am using at work has the light option. You can select mode under the 'About' menu. There is no special download for the light version.
