Yes or no is ok

Is it as simple as I think it is. I have already imaged my main drive. Say I want to do a clean install, can I just fdisk, format and them boot into ghost and restore the image. Or do I need to reinstall the OS first.

thanks

You don't even have to fdisk. I've never used ghost personal edition, but as long as you can boot to a network share or your cdrom I guess you should be able to run ghost and put the image on. A ghost image copies all the partition information back.

I believe you can just do format c: /q becasue you have an existing file system and that would allow you to do a quick format instead of doing a full format after an fdisk. Basically you skip the fdisk completely. As for installing the image, in CDRESQ, which is very similar to ghost, (symantec makes both, and they look almost identical) you can boot to A and then run ghost and install the image you created.
