When you have a quote in an essay, and it is 3 lines or more, it is the right thing to indent that quote separately correct? My question is, is it 3 or 4 lines that the quote has to be before you indent the whole quote? Oh, and when you indent the quote separately, you don't have to have the actual quotation marks as well, correct? Thanks

I forget what the suggested length is, but a three-line quote would warrent indenting. Also, you are currect: an indented (at least two tabs) quote block doesn't need the " ". Good luck.

is it quoted material or quoted speech? Quoted speech is often italicized
