Hi guys and gals, please help me,
I accidentally quick formatted the wrong partition so now i need to recover the data in it. Is there any program I can download to recover lost data? Thank you very much for your help.

If you are lucky enough to be using a FAT16 partition in Win 98, an old copy of Norton Utilities for DOS (ver. 5 or 6) may get your info back. You will have to supply a new file name for every file you want to recover.

Here's what I found searching Download.com for "unformat." If the link doesn't work, do that same search.

Good luck. 🙂

I did the same thing a few weeks ago. I had some luck with Executive Software's Undelete program. It didn't get everything back, but I got a good chunk back.

whatever you do, DO NOT USE that drive for anything until you run recovery software. The more you use it (even caching) the less you will recover later.

I've seen a program called "GetDataBack" mentioned several times with success. I think that you might need to pay for it though, to perform the actual file recovery. The "free" version only lets you see if the program thinks it can recover something.

EDIT: hehe, just noticed the ad's above, they are both for data recovery. Why not check out those links 🙂
