Quick Firewire question

I just bought a firewire card off the fs/ft forums. This is my first time using firewire. The card has a place where it looks like it is a connecter for the small molex(floppy power) connecter. Am I supose to plug that in? What does it do? I have installed the card without the connecter and it works fine. I am only going to use to card to connect to my digital camcorder to edit videos for now.

Thanks

BTW, the card is made by Pinnacle Systems.

Not fimiliar with the Pinnacle card but Firewire does not need any additional power...I'm thinking it's prolly 1 internal Firewire connector so you should be good to go as is.
