Quick favor, I need the SETI i686-pc-linux-gnu-gnulibc2.1 client version 3.03 from someone.

Hello all,

I just got my new Barton 2500+ running Mandrake 9.1 working. Problem is that I didn't plan ahead and have lost my SETI i686-pc-linux-gnu-gnulibc2.1 executable. SETI won't let you download this version 3.03 anymore since they want you to use the 3.08.

Could someone please email me this file? My addy is penguin#$%swancomputers.biz where #$% is @.

Nevermind. I finally figured out how to get the email I sent myself to open. I've got it working again now🙂

For future reference you can just change the name of the FTP url ,if you alter their link from 3.08 to 3.03 you can still get it🙂

Why 3.03 over 3.08? Wasn't there a security problem with 3.03?

Yeah but its very easily fixed by adding SETIs server url into the Windows 'host' file or (I think) by using SETIQ.

V3.03 is about 15% faster than v3.08 on average WUs
