We just got the belkin omnview pro2 8 port KVM to replace a D-Link (which is functional, but ugly) in our new racks here at work.
The belkin, however, is behaving very strangely. All 8 channels are listed in the OSD; I have systems on 1,2,3, and all three show as turned on (sun icon). However, when I scroll through the systems listed in the OSD (using up/down arrows), the entire OSD flashes very briefly. It looks as if the OSD is very temporarily displaying some other information (it looks like the computer name), then switching back to the actual OSD. The effect of this is that when you scroll through systems in the OSD using the up/down arrows, the OSD "flashes" with every selection. This makes using the OSD (which is imperative for us), really obnoxious.
Our D-Link, on the other hand, scrolls through the items in the OSD (which looks almost exactly the same as the Belkin) smoothly.
Can anyone else with the Belkin 8 port KVM confirm the same behavior?
