I hate how facebook shows every small updates you make show on people's feed or whatever

can people tell when you leave or join a network?

Try it out and see if it does, you can always remove the update...

how do you see if it does?

if I join a network, it shows on my profile that I joined xxx network. If I click the x and remove that from my "recent activity", will it not show on any of my friend's minifeed?

But if you remove the update from your page, shouldn't it disappear from the news feeds that your friends get?

Pretty much every news feed / activity you do and want shown or hidden is customizable.

Here's a decent article for those concerned with facebook privacy... as anyone that uses it should be.
