Quick EVGA Warranty question

I got a 7800GT from evga and was just wondering about the rma process. I got a registration card that gives me only 1 year of warranty. I thought that evga now has an awesome lifetime warranty. Is the registration card just outdated? It says that I need to fill that out to get warranty service, but do I really need to fill it out? Lets say 5 years from now my card breaks and I need to rma it, but I did not fill out the registration card. Will they still honor their lifetime warranty. The reason I ask this is because I'm thinking of selling the GT for the vanilla 7800 when it comes out (generate some cash to go dual core =).

Yeah, they switched to a lifetime warranty after the cards had been released. I think you probably will have to register if you want to keep your warranty. eVGA also allows the warranty to be transferrable, so if you sell it, then you will be able to transfer it over the new owner.

So, I would register. You might also contact them to make sure about the lifetime warranty and the transfer of it.
