Hello, I am gonna be gone this weekend and I want to leave my computer up and running all weekend to download and upload files. The thing is though I have my PC on a home network where we all share the same cable connection. I need to be able to limit the upload bandwidth I use so I don't kill everyone else's speed. Is there a little piece of software that does this? Or maybe a quick registry tweak? I'm running WinXP Pro... Thanks for any help..

I don't think there is an 'easy' way built into the OS. You might be able to find software to do it, but I don't know of any.

Here you go... a little too late I'm afraid... if not well... it's a bandwidth throttler... emulating different speeds.

boyracer,

Unfortunately, Nimbus limits BOTH upstream AND downstream traffic. However, this is the closest to a simple windows based software upload limiter/manager that I've seen.
