Quick Ebay Question

I wanted to sell some software that came with one of my Dell machines, and I've noticed similar postings on ebay stating that in order to comply with ebay standards this software will come bundled with a piece of computer hardware.

Does anyone know what rule they are reffering to?

Thanks!

uh, are you talking about AT FS/FT? You can sell software on eBay without any string attached i think... but i don't sell OEM software so maybe they have the same policy

Yes, on eBay if you are selling certain software it can be illegal to have the buyer pay for it unless you say it's a freebie w/ hardware. If all of your software is original and not OEM, you are fine. This is similar to people selling "pennies" that come w/ a complimentary College Football ticket. They do this to get around the fact that you can't sell over the ticket price in certain states.
