Could someone just let me know what the Win2k equivalent of the winipcfg command is to release/renew IP addresses?

I have a dual boot with Me right now, and for some reason I can connect to the network in Me, but not 2k...? I originally couldn't connect in Me either, but release/renew took care of that.

Thanks alot for your help...

Under the command window, it is IPCONFIG. If you type it at the 'run' line, it just flashes. There is probably a way to make it pop up but the only way I know how is to open a command window.

Thanks for the help so far. I went into the cmd and did ipconfig /all, which listed all the information. However, I'm still unable to connect to anything in Win2k. I don't understand how one machine w/ 1 IP address can connect in Me, but not Win2k...???

Any ideas?
I'm going to sleep for the night, now, but any suggestions are greatly appreciated...
Thank you,
Bob

"ipconfig" and "ipconfig /all" just display the information and do not release/renew your address. You need to use "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /renew" in a dos prompt to do that. "ipconfig /?" will give you the help file entry.

Ok, this is getting really frustrating.
I'm on a LAN connection, and my NIC is setup properly, b/c everything works fine in Me. However, for some reason that is $#@* completely beyond me, I can't connect in 2k.

I've released, and renewed my IP address with no luck.
I thought about switching my NIC to another slot just in case that would do anything (??), but then realized it's an ISA, and I only have 1 slot. Could the fact that it's ISA have anything at all to do with this?

Any ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated once again...

FRUSTRATED

From other thread also:
----------------------

My apologies to everyone for wasting space and your efforts here.

ZoneAlarm was preventing the connection in 2k. It's not running on Me. I'm a moron.

Thanks for all of your help, though.
