Quick, easy question on P3

Hmmm, my friend has P3-650 in his computer...... I think his motherboard is Abit BE6-2

What is the fastest P3 he can use with his motherboard?

Easy right ?

According to Abit's website, a BE6-II should support up to 800Mhz PIII

EDIT: Found out that with a BIOS upgrade it will support up to 1.1Ghz

1.0GHZ P3 on a slotket.
1.1GHZ Celeron on a slotket.

Celeron will be slower than P3, but also 1/4th the cost.

Overclock the celeron as far as she'll go, you'll probably end up around 1.2 or 1.3GHZ or something..

This is the highest clocked P3 he can slap in there. I do *not* guarnatee *complete* stability but there *shouldn't* be any problems..
I give it a 90% chance it'll work fine.

P.S. If he's using a cartridge based P3 right now instead of a socket based PIII on a slotket you'll need to buy him a slotket to use that P3.
