i've been out of the intel cpu loop for a while. today, in my research of matx motherboards, i was curious about p4 cpu pricing. now, i expected the intel chips to cost more then their amd counterparts (just like old times), but i wasn't too sure about the exact price difference. i'm more interested in a low end p4... say a 1.7ghz northwood. on pricewatch, the lowest rice for a 1.7ghz p4 is like $110. an xp1700+ (1.47ghz) is around $45 & an xp2100+ (1.73ghz) is $60. is this pricing scheme abour accurate?

well the tbred B added a whole new layer on the core making it more stable, this is why they are oc' beasts. Also, they are more stable b/c they dissipate more heat i thought due to the new layer...
