Quick contact lens question

I just dropped a contact lens from around neck height

is it gonna rip now? 🙁

it was folded in half when I dropped it 🙁 ... so like the center of the lens was uh... "sharp"

I dropped it as soon as it came out of my eye so it wasn't very moist.

years ago I had one rip in my eye 🙁 not fun

so will it rip now/is the risk great? 🙁

hmmmm a few years ago it ripped in my eye and so after that I stopped wearing them and went back to glasses but I'm trying contacts out again. I've only had it for a week and they're supposed to last a month!!! 🙁

I'd say it depends on the materials. A hydrogel lens probably wouldn't sustain any damage.

I seriously doubt it will rip just from being dropped. They're actually pretty resilient.

THey are extremely strong...I dropped mine everyday when I first got mine, and they've lived...

I have been wearing contacts for 15 years and have dropped them numerous times over the years (slept in them till they were hard as glass, worn them with a ripped edge, you name it). It is not going to rip from just dropping it. Just pick it up, clean if off well and put it back in.
