I just need a quick confirmation that my dvd drive is broken (dell inspiron with SONY drive). It keeps on making this churning sound, like an old hard drive. The churning sound isnt continuus though, itll go on for half a second, then instantly not make a sound and then start again. If i put an audio cd in it will recognize that its an audio CD and iTunes recognizes what CD that it is, but it wont play any songs.
Seems like a broken motor to me? correct? and there is nothing i can do except get a new one?
